The resulting real-time encrypted data stream is sent from the VitalLink3 via a data connection to the VitalNet, TeleMedic Systems’ server network, where it can be accessed in real time by medical professionals. Clients can choose from several basic parameters like non-invasive blood pressure, temperature, EKG/ ECG, and SpO2 as well as options such as ETCO2, weight scales, glucometers, and spirometry as their requirements dictate.

As an example, the VitalLink is beneficial in aviation as it can provide the flight crew a tool to capture and send valuable information to physicians on the ground thus enhancing the assessment of a patient’s condition. With better information the medical team can provide better guidance to the Captain in making the decision to either divert the aircraft or continue with the journey. In addition to emergency response, The VitalLink3 is also used in training application to measure the vital signs of pilots in hypobaric chambers; monitoring the effects of altitude and rapid decompression on the trainees.

To ensure seamless implementation of a solution TeleMedic Systems begins planning installation support from the moment an order is placed. During deployment training is provided to the users. To verify the VitalLink™ system is operational the new users conduct the customer acceptance test, establishing a connection with the supporting medical team and sending data to ensure everything is working as required.
